Fixpack #9 not installing

I got Fixpack #9 installed on my Pent-90 running full WARP, but I can't get
it installed on my 483-33 running WARP w/o windows.

I used both the kicker disks and tried running A:SERVICE from an OS/2
prompt. I put in disk #1 and it immediately asks for disk #2, and keeps
asking for it even if I put disk #2 in, or anything else for that matter.
Any ideas?

I'm having troubles also. I boot off the kicker diskettes, insert CSD disk #1, it
lists a bunch of directories, but as it's going thru my archives directories I get
a CSF0249 error stating: "Error creating or opening archive file" and I have to
reboot . Anyone know what this means?

Thanks in advance...

Sounds like you are running out of hard drive space when it's archiving.
I hate to ask, but did you read the whole readme on the first CSD disk?
It contains a bunch of vital info...

Use the floppy drive from your pent 90. It sounds like you drive change
indicator is not working on your one machine. Give it a shot, couldn't hurt.

I have the same problem. I am down to 30 meg free space on the hard disk. I
read the entire readme which says from 1 to 4 meg of free space is required.
Dont know what the problem could be.

This has happened to me too. I have 31 megs free. might it be that we use the wrong
CSF boot disks? David Boniuk, who started this thread, said that we _have_ to use
the latest version and not the ones in the wkicker.zip file. Does anybody know
where they are? Huh, David?

I had the same problem because I had installed a fixpack before (#5) and
afterwards deleted the archive files its installation created. I wonder if you
have the same background. If so, the answer can be found in the readme
file on CSD disc #1. (You have to delete/rename some files - I do not have my
disks handy so I can not check the names)

The error message came becose the files found at archive dir were not in
synch with saved info.

Hope this helps.

It's for all three existing flavors.

By the way, if you deleted the files from the ARCHIVE directory you will get errors
trying to install fixpack 9. Read the readme fo the fix.

I've had this same problem multiple times. The best fix I know is to delete the
LOGSTART.OS2 (I think that's the filename) from the \os2\install directory. If
that doesn't work I've had success with one other method, but it is clumsier...

I got mine from ftp site- wuarchive.wustl.edu
in the directory - /systems/os2/patches
the file names are- csfboot1.dsk and csfboot2.dsk

I hope this helps, but I still have not been able to get the fixpack to install on
my system. I keep getting an error that says:

Corrective Service Facility

SYS0318: Message File OSO001.MSG cannot be found for message 3175.

If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

The SYS3175 error is when a program generates either a trap 000D or trap
000E. The difference between the two is fairly technical, but the short answer
is that a program tried to read or write information somewhere it wasn't supposed
to. Beyond that, it is difficult to determine who is at fault from the information
posted, but it is probably the SERVICE program or one of the programs SERVICE
calls. Since I have never seen SERVICE trap, I would suspect a bad version of
the program.
