AMIBIOS with 486/66 Blue Lightening problems

I've just replaced my old motherboard with a 486 AmiBios board with
a 486DX2/66 Blue Lightening CPU. Because it takes 2x72pin and 4x30
pin simms, in place of the 8x30pin simms that my old motherboard
took, I am presently just using 4x30pin 1MB simms.

When I boot to DOS everything works fine. When I boot to OS/2, I
get a TRAP D. I tried re-installing, which went fine until it told
me to remove the last diskette and reboot. Then the same thing.

p.s. I have tried disabling external/internal cache

It might be worth swapping the simms round. If one is flakey that might
make the problem go away.

Are these 30 pin simms fast enough ?

BTW does this 486DX2/66 Blue Lightening CPU have an FPU ?

I'll try this, but the 4x1MB simms I am using are straight off my old
motherboard, and everything worked fine there.

70ns - so they should be, right ?

>BTW does this 486DX2/66 Blue Lightening CPU have an FPU ?

I'm a little hazy on this. I kind of thought all 486DX2/66 had math
co pros, but is this the same thing ? The honest answer is I don't
know. But the board and CPU were 109UKP inc. vat. which seemed a
pretty good price (assuming I can get OS/2 working :} )

Maybe. I guess it depends how the BIOS programs the chipset.

Certainly sounds like a good price. Is that including the CPU ?

Intel 486DX chips do include the FPU but I thought that the IBM BL didn't.
