HELP ( Please ) with PCI/NCR53C810/PAS16

Hi,

Is anyone out there using a PAS16 sound card with an NCR53C810 based
PCI SCSI adapter? My PAS16 worked fine on my SOYO SY-029CS PCI motherboard
with Award 4.50G BIOS, until I replaced the ISA Adaptec 1542B SCSI with
a no-name PCI card based on the NCR chipset. The PAS behaves as if there
is a IRQ/DMA conflict, but I've tried the PAS and the SCSI on many
combinations of IRQ/DMA with no success. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ned

If you have a motherboard wich has also local-bus, you probably have
the same problem as me.
After numorous problems with several of the same boards of the same
type I changed to PCI only and all problems were gone (something to do
with busmastering)

/v after the basedev=os2cam.add will tell you what interrupt the ncr scsi is using.
