[Q] Which PCMCIA SCSI + CD-ROM for OS/2 on Zenith NoteFlex ?

Hi there,

I have a Zenith Z-NoteFlex (bought new last August) to which I would
like to add an external SCSI CD-ROM drive, in order to install
OS/2 Warp Connect.
So I need affordable solutions (I am a student) for
a) a supported PCMCIA SCSI adapter
b) a decent external CD-ROM drive (I'd like to use it also
as portable CD type audio device by itself).

I am looking at the Media Vision Reno (100$) for the CD-ROM and at a
Simple Technologies PCMCIA SCSI adapter (99$) but would like to know
whether these are supported by OS/2 Warp Connect. The selective
install notebookpage on our Connect setup here doesn't show them.
Does anybody have any experiences (good or bad) with this combination,
are there other adapters which are good or better while still being
affordable? I also came across a 175$ Adaptec Slim-SCSI and I heared of
a BusToaster and some things like that.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, Ludger Wirtz (lwirtz@utk.edu)
