Problem: Pentium + Adaptec 2940 card with Pioneer 604X CD-changer and HP IIc scanner on the SCSI chain (together with a Panasonic optical drive). If the /ET parameter is set on the driver all 6 CDs are seen, but the system hangs on bootup if the scanner is powered on. If the /ET parameter is omitted the scanner can be used, but only one CD is available. Any ideas folks? Background: I used to have a 486 + 1542B driving the SCSI chain and this was able to support all 6 CDs in the Pioneer and the scanner at the same time. I have tried looking at the SCSI cables with some diagnostic connectors and there appears to be a request outstanding. My guess is that the driver is interrogating the scanner concerning all its internal LUNs and is not getting a suitable answer.
