Two video cards that are well-supported under OS/2 are the Matrox
Millenium MGA, and the Elsa Winner 2000.

The MGA performs fantastically and has great OS/2 drivers, and retails
for around $350-400 Australian for the 2Mb version. It's not as
expensive as a #9, but it's still pretty costly. You can get info
about it at "http://www.matrox.com/mgaweb/brochure.htm".

I don't know a lot about the Elsa, but this card is the only one to
support IBM's ENDIVE in software or hardware. Check out
"http://www.elsa.com", "http://www.elsa.com/c/applicat/applic_e.htm"
and "http://www.elsa.com/c/applicat/os2_e.htm" for info on this one.

Personally, I'm using a Speed64V+ w/2Mb, which is an implementation of
the S3 Trio 64V+ chipset. The latest drivers (2/7/96) seem to work
well, although they don't support 24bit colour at 800x600 (my preferred
resolution), and they seem to choke on DIVE from time to time. It's
not perfect, but I got it at a good price so I'm pretty happy. :)
