At my company we experienced problems with the ET4000 w32p interfering with the COM4 (0x2E8 - 0x2EF) address range. This is similar to the ATI Graphics Pro Turbo (which I have at home) but at least ATI tells you about it!. The symptoms were: spurious NULLs and 0x80 characters coming out of COM4 when any video activity occurred (mouse moving, opening-, closing-, sizing- windows etc). Changed the graphics card to a Trident or Diamond and the problem went away. Just a word of warning to let you know. Cheers Chris Hoffmann.
