Problem with WIN-OS2

I have installed WIN-OS2 and OS/2 for windows and have the following
problems

1. WIN-OS2 Word will see all my truetype fonts in Windows but I cannot see
any in WIN/OS2. Excel and Powerpoint can see them in both windows.
I have migrated both win.ini files (so all the fonts are defined) and
placed the winword.ini file into the C:\os2\mdos\winos2 directory.

In WIN-OS2 I cannot see my comms port. I can see them from OS/2 and
normal windows.

2. in the Windows from OS/2 4 Windows I cannot see any of my LPT ports -
windows/OS2 keeps telling me they are not installed. They work fine under
normal windows.

Matthew,
Not sure about your Word problem, but in order for Win-OS2 to see your
comm ports, make sure that you are loading DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VCOM.SYS in
your CONFIG.SYS.

Matt, you'll need to open the Printer setup in Control Panel under Win-OS/2 and
attach your default printer to port LPT1.OS2 (scroll down past LPT3). Also when
printing from Windows apps make sure you're printing to your default printer on
LPT1.OS2.

Note that the port LPT1.OS2 corresponds to LPT1, LPT2.OS2 corresponds to LPT2
etc.

This assumes that you wish to print from your Windows apps through OS/2's
print spooler (I prefer to print this way because background printing seems to
work better due to the fact that OS/2 is multithreaded and starts a separate
thread for printing).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Rod.
