Hi, Is there a quick and dirty way to make all my existing Windows program objects to have the same settings? Thanks in advance. Dennis

I haven't tried this, but it should work (I think it works with Warp only):
1. Open the settings notebook for the windoze program that has
the settings that you want to copy to the others. (The "master" so
to speak.)
2. Select winos2 settings and select "all DOS and winos2 settings".
3. Select "print", then select "encoded file" and enter a file into
which the system will write the settings. This will store the
settings for that program in an "encoded file".
4. Open the settings notebook for the program that you want to change
and again selece "all DOS and winos2 settings"
5. This time, select "load" and type the name of the encoded file which
contains the saved settings. Then close the settings notebook. This should
copy the saved settings to the program.
6. Repeat 4 and 5 for each windoze program that you want to change.

Learn REXX :) I really can't think of any other quick solutions (and haven't put enough thought into it to stumble on the complications of a REXX script to do it). -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Dahl | dahl@agassiz.cas.und.nodak.edu | jadahl@badlands.nodak.edu -----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you change the WIN-OS/2 settings here, they will affect all future WIN-OS/2 program objects. I guess you could change the settings you're interested in and create new program object for the WIN-OS/2 programs via "Add Programs" in "System Setup". Hope it helps! -J-
