i'm not sure if it's borland or HP or what company makes this utility,
but i'm quite pleased with it and basically it's replaced program
manager on my windows system. i'm presently "migrating" my system to
WArp and i'd like to know if ther's something like Dashboard for
OS/2. Dashboard basically functions like a TOOLBAR, multiple desktop
manager (up to 9? i think), program launcher (programs hidden in
various Windows groups are accessible via just one click - which is
not something i've been able to do yet in os/2) i've just downloaded
Filebar and it seems to function similarly. are there any other
suggested programs that do these functions? a program that's a virtual
copy/ port of Dashboard would be the one i'm looking for.

2nd query: when i installed warp it migrated my windows groups/progs
to the WIN-OS2 folder. but i noticed that the icons looked quite
awful, as if it my monitor just CGA. instead of SVGA. what can i do
about the way the icons look. they're ok in a win-os/2 session but
not when they're dragged into os/2 ofolders.

oh, 3d Q: is there ANY decent mouse driver for os/2?? tried
RODENT.SYS but it's still not quick enough and starts being jerky/
stuttery when used in winos2 session.

Binar makes a multiple desktop utility called Skyscraper. Very nice as it
allows as many desktops as you like. It is especially nice when you have lots
of PM programs open and hate navigating overlapping windows. You can
an enormous amount of virtual desktops.

Object Desktop is a lot better than Dashboard, IMHO. 16 virtual desktops
possible, a wide range of program launching options, and much more. For more
info:

Also: for one-click launching, OS/2 comes with a LaunchPad. You can
also drag and drop programs to the RMB pop-up menu for the desktop.

Get a Icon editor that can pull icons from Windows programs (many shareware available)
or try new Video driver for your chipset. Mine did that w/ a Trident card and I just got new drivers.

Go to the Settings notebook for Win-OS/2 (System Setup for all session default)
And set MOUSE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS to ON..

There is a new shell for OS/2 and win95 by a company called witchcraft.

I read it on the ZDNET's web page. The company sponsored the Fleewood Mac
concert at COMDEX and gave out free copies. It's written up in the COMDEX
summaries. I do not have the info handy so I cannot post the URL.

There are new shell products coming out and they are dual OS/2 -- win95.

I inquired among others yahoo for all of this, but to no avail, i.e. no
trace of new shell, let alone dual ones... :-(

Could you be more specific, or better yet, post a pointer to witchcraft?
