I also got PMMAIL and agree it's much better. However, before I register it, can the registered users tell me if these problems in PMMAIL are fixed in the registered version? 1. Sometimes, PMMAIL forgets to split mail messages and I end up with one message in PMMAIL that contains what should be many separate mail messages. (This happens especially when I have a few hundred mail messages waiting to be collected.) 2. Since getting the IAK updates, I can't send out long mail messages. I get a POP socket time error of some sort, and then message message doesn't get sent. 3. PMMAIL uses an incorrect algorithm to separate mail messages. Rather than looking for a "From" line with a timestamp, it just splits at any line beginning with the word "From". This can (and does) appear in the text of messages, and it's quite irritating to have messages split in the middle because of this. (Of course, Ultimail had the same problem, only worse - it just gobbled the rest of the message!) Although the above might sound a bit negative, I am actually reasonably impressed with PMMAIL. -- Bernie Maier The Internet: not so much the Information Home: blurk@wr.com.au Superhighway as a large, multi-storied, Work: blurk@ot.com.au over-crowded, Information Parking Lot.
