I have successfully used C-kermit (VIO version) and the M2Zmodem program
posted to c.b.os2 with a Hayes-comp. modem on COM1.

I am using 1.2 on an 386 AT-Bus machine and therefore use COM01.SYS.
I do not use any other COM-related device drivers or software except
that my serial mouse is on COM2.
Are you shure that you specified the right com port and speed?
Because C-kermit works on my machine it must be a problem of you
hardware or software. Check if the 16550 chips are ok (with a serial
mouse, for example). I don't know if the PS/2 machines require something
about the ABIOS which is fond on the distribution disks?
