We often use ZIP and then BACKUP (in OS2) to backup our hard disk but have encountered excessive number of CRC errors while RESTORing the backuped disks. Is this a known problem with the use of ZIP and BACKUP ? Generally our ZIPped files are over 10MB and therefore requires at least a dozen of 3.5 HD disks (sometimes over 20 disks!!) to BACKUP the archive file. Any suggestion on backuping a very large zip file ? Any alternative (from ftp?) ? We also have access to ZOO, ARJ and LHA but have not used them as serious as above. Please respond to eric\@cs.su.oz.au as I do not subscribe to this group. Eric Tsui.
