I am currently running os/2 2.0 on a 486/33 with an Ultrastor ESDI
controller and drive(s). Can anyone tell me what my options are
for getting a CD-ROM drive which will work directly with OS/2?

For example, can I add a simple SCSI interface for the CD-ROM drive
without having to upgrade to SCSI hard drives (can an ESDI and SCSI
controller co-exist with os/2)?

Thanks for the info.

YES - right now I am using a Future Domain SCSI card (TMC-1660) with
a MAXSTOR SCSI drive and the SUPIO IDE card with a CONNOR IDE drive.
I think ESDI is basically similar.

OS/2 is working fine with this setup. I have never set it up to boot
from the SCSI drive. IS this possible - has anyone tried booting from
a SCSI with an IDE drive also?
