I need some help.  I'm trying to install the 2.1 beta, and having very
little luck.  I get through the actual install with no problem.  I just
can't start the system.  Whenever I boot, everything proceeds as normal
until PM starts.  I get a blank screen with the "wait" cursor.  The disk
thrashes like mad for a few seconds, then everything stops.  The cursor
still tracks the mouse, but nothing else happenes.  No disk activity.  No
response from the keyboard.  All that works is the BRS.  Do I have bad
images?  Flakey hardware?  In case it helps, I'm running an IBM PS/2 mod 80
with 12 MB, 2 70Meg ESDI drives, IBM SCSI adaptor with a Toshiba 3100 CD-ROM,
IBM 3270 card, IBM Dual Async card, IBM Token ring card, and IBM 8514/A.
I've pulled all the extraneous cards  (T/R, 3270, SCSI) to no effect.
Any ideas?
