I'm afraid not:  he might construe silence for agreement (or at least
tolerance).

Unfortunately, once a creature like this infests a newsgroup if one doesn't
make it clear to him that his efforts are if anything counter-productive to
his goals he's likely to continue (and in fact I remember this pseudonym
from the past, so he *has* continued).

When comp.os.vms is pruned from his slobber, I'll be happy to leave it to
members of the other groups to handle the situation locally as they see fit.
