Goddag everybody, Does anybody have an idea of how many IOs/s, MB/s an HSZ70 can handle. I've tried to go through all the hype at compaq's web site but nothing so far. Same thing for disks such as RZ1CF, RZ1DF and RZ1EF. Anything you seem to find for these is people smart enough to multiply the width of the bus (2 bytes) with the clock speed of Ultra SCSI (20Mhz) and comimg up with 40 MB/s. To get a rough idea, I've launched 20 backup processes on a single unit and watched the result from vtdpy. - without writeback cache : 800 to 900 KB/s - with writeback cache 5 to 8MB/s What puzzled me a little bit is that this was enough to use 25% CPU on the HSZ70. What I'm trying to evaluate is how much of a stupid thing this is to daisy chain three or two BA370 behind a pair of HSZ70 controllers if you expect workload peaks. Any help much appreciated.
