Yea, but do these laptops come with a 6 speed WRITING CD-Rom worth over
$1000 new?? I don't think so. Anyways, I am just asking for a bid,
$2400 is NOT the hard price.

Check it, Best Buy has laptops aroound the $1500 range all the time.
Anyways, external CD-Rs can be bought for $500-$600 new for 4x read -2x
write (you don't want much faster for write). that means your laptop is
going for $1800, that's hefty for an AGED system like the one you are
selling. You can get a completely souped up Sony PC for only $200 more.
You could also get a pretty good laptop (in the Pentium range) for less.
