My only UseNet access is via modem, and, unfortunately,
my system has terrible problems with telephone line noise. I have
discovered that the worst bursts of noise are associated with
the switching on and off of florescent lights and electric motors.
Is there anything that can be done to alleviate this problem? Am
I the only one to experience this difficulty, or have others noticed
similar interference? I am using a plain vanilla 2400bps modem,
with no hardware error correction or data compression. Thanks in
advance for any suggestions.
