Greetings, I'm looking for information about disk drive failures. I've heard there is a company which accumulates statistics about disk drives which have actually failed (not projected failures) and have been returned for replacement - sort of a "reverse" Dataquest market share report. Specifically I'm most interested in 3.5 inch SCSI drives, but I would certainly be interested in any summary which contained this category. I realize this may sound like a nutty request, but I've come to the conclusion that manufacturer MTBF numbers have so many caveats that they're of little use. If anyone out knows about this company, or any other source for this type of actual disk failure information, I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me. My email address is mnordman@voyager.net . Thanks for your help. Mark
