In spite of all the negative comments in this thread, there is no reason why
the dishwasher technique shouldn't work. One of the standard cleaning methods
in industry involves aqueous (read "water") wash using water-based solvent
(read "detergent") in a board cleaner (read "expensive dishwasher") for
printed wiring and wire-wrap boards. As long as the keyboard is thoroughly dry
before use, a water wash should be no problem. (It would probably be a good
idea to perform a final rinse using distilled and/or deionized water.)
