Hi,
I had a question about modems :

Background:
I am trying to access my school account from home by dialling 
in from home. I have a dumb terminal (vt100/102/220/320) at home,
and my school account is on a DEC workstation with an internet addr.
So what I would like to do is:

atdt XXXX
and than when connected, telnet to my school account.  

Till now I had a 2400 bps modem that worked fine. Now I want to upgrade
it.

So my question is :

-- What kind of a modem do I need for connecting to a dumb terminal ?
   All stores have either IBM compatible or Mac compatible modems, and
   none of the tech support people at these stores seem to know which one
   (if either) is appropriate for my needs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
