I have just reinstalled a 6X CREATIVE LABS CD ROM and noted that periodically the drive seems to pulse the IDE LED. It's a slave on IDE 1 where the IDEs are, as is the case these days, on the motherboard. The CDROM seems to work fine, but substituting another MODE 4 drives removes this odd behaviour. Anyone come across anything like this? -- David Longley (check end reply line #) Longley Consulting London, UK Behaviour Assessment & Profiling Technology, Research, Data Analysis and Training Services, Small IT Systems http://www.longley.demon.co.uk
