I have some data on a TK-50 tape catridge, recorded on a MicroVax computer.
The only computers I have access to are Sun Sparc stations and PCs running
Windows. I could connect a TK-50 scuzzy tape drive to a Sun successfully, but
there seems to be some incompatibility in the data transfer. The data transfer
was aborted with the following error messages. I will be most grateful if
someone can help me out in this matter. More specifically,
1. Is there some software that will make my Sun station connect and communicate
correctly with a TK-50 drive?
2. Is there a Sun-supported drive that can read TK-50 tapes?
3. Should I be trying PCs instead of Suns?
Thank you. Please respond by e-mail (murthy@scr.siemens.com).
