AppleTalk (and PPP/IP) via Netblazer?

We've got a Telebit Netblazer here that reportedly supports ARAP for
dial-up appletalk access. At this time, however, we have no idea where
to go to get our hands on the software for the remote Macintosh. I've
been following these groups for a little while now and I've seen mention
of several remote appletalk packages, and a couple that support PPP/IP
simultaneously. Will any of these work with a Netblazer dial-in server?
If not, what CAN we use with this server?

You can reply either to myself in mail, to the person who is trying to
get remote appletalk running (doug_moreton@email.eushc.org) or post here.
I will forward any responses on, as necessary.

The Apple Remote Access client software is commercial Apple product. Call
your local dealer to purchase a copy. Depending on which version of the
NetBlazer software you are running you need either version 1.0 or 2.0 or
Apple Remote Access. We run a NetBlazer using ver 2.1 and ARA 1.0 works
fine. However, ARA 2.0 using the 1.0 compatibility mode does not want to
connect. I'm not sure if version 2.3 of the NetBlazer s/w supports ARA 2.0,
you will have to call Telebit to confirm or send e-mail to
support@telebit.com. There are also some line setting changes that need to
be made inorder for the NetBlazer to establish ARA connections. Telebit
support can help you with this.

There is also available a shareware ARA Client s/w called ARAClient, which
you can download from sumex-aim.stanford.edu or from any other large Mac FTP
sites. It depends on Apple's ARA s/w being installed.

For PPP and SLIP there are public domain versions available on any of the
major FTP sites for Mac shareware (i.e. sumex-aim.stanford.edu). For PPP you
can use MacPPP 2.01 and MacTCP 2.0.4 to establish PPP sessions with the
NetBlazer. SLIP works pretty much the same way. There is MacSLIP and
InterSLIP (commercial product from InterCon - also develop InterPPP) client
s/w available for the Mac. MacTCP is a commercial product from Apple and you
will have to purchase it.

If you have mulitple telephone lines and modems connect to the NetBlazer
then you can offer any of these services simultaneously for either dial-in
or dail-out.

Contact me if you need more info. or have trouble finding the shareware
mentioned.
