Is there anyone out there who has used SNA SDLC LU0 (pipeline) protocol for communiations on the AS/400? I am working on a project to provide interactive credit card authorizations from our AS/400. When given the following list of protocols, I initially selected 3780 BSC because I am most familiar with it, but the credit card processing company suggested LU0 for the best speed, and a lower cost network connection. The available protocols are: 3780 polling/select master (point-to-point) BSC 3270 polling/select master (multipoint) BSC 3270 polling/select master (without control) BSC NCR/Stores IV polling/select master IBM SNA/SDLC (LU0 or LU2) X.25 (note: the preferred protocols are the SNA/SDLC options) A quick scan through the books CD pointed me in the direction of Retail Communications and SNUF, neither of which I have any experience with. What I am looking for is anyone who has done this before who may be able to point out the pitfalls. Thanks in Advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Vincent Greene Arizona Mail Order Co.,Inc. Sr. Programmer/Analyst P.O.
