Hello, I noticed that the tcpCurrEstab object in snmp returns improper values . Instead of returning just the ones that are ESTABLISHED or CLOSE-WAIT, it returns ALL the connections (most of which are really in the LISTEN state, and should not be included in the count). Why was this done ? Seems totally non-standard to me. Of course to get a real count for tcpCurrEstab one would have to traverse the tcp table in the kernel, this would certainly take a LOT of time, anyway .. Perhaps there is something I am missing ? Please write. Thanks in advance. Regards, Subhendu Ghatak
