Hi all,
I'm attempting to build the ISODE 8.0, with patch1 applied, on a Sun SPARC
IPC running SunOS 4.1.2, compiling with Sun's own (bundled) C compiler, and
I've run into a series of problems. The errors seem, at least in the early
stages, identical whether I'm building for static or dynamic linkage.
As far as configuration goes I've changed _absolutely nothing_ except the
definitions for SBINDIR, ETCDIR, LOGDIR and INCDIRM in <hostname>.make -
sunos4-1.h and <hostname>.h are identical (in the statically linked
version).
I've:
linked <hostname>.{make,h} to CONFIG.make and ../h/CONFIG.h respectively.
copied <various>.local to ../support without editing.
made "once-only"
made....and this is what happens...
The first glitch is at the beginning of the pepsy build:

cc -g -I. -I../h -c psaptest.c
cc -g -o psaptest psaptest.o libpsap.a ../libcompat.a

cd pepsy; ./make DESTDIR= -k all
cc -g -I. -I../h -DPEPYPATH -DPEPSYPATH=\".:/usr/local/include/isode/pepsy\" -c pepsy.c

This last is stuff not found in libpepsy.a, I assume.
After this, things seem to go to hell in a fairly major way. "ar"
complains bitterly about missing object files, "make" mourns it's inability
to come up with chunks of pepsy stuff, "cc" starts complaining about
missing include files up in ../acsap, etc, etc. About there I decided to
call it a day.
Can anyone there help me on this? I assume it's *got* to be a config error
on my part (although I can't see how I can mess up a lex source file) -
either that or patch#1 is broken somehow?
Thanx in advance,

I'm trying to build ISODE-8.0 on an R4000 Silicon Graphics Indigo Elan running IRIX 4.0.5F. Does anyone know which MAKE and H files to use in config? Regards, Winston Choe.
