I am currently working with a special interest group at 
the National Institute of Standards and Technology, attempting
to identify network objects that are related to the management 
of network security within the framework of the 
ISO OSI reference model.  This group is part of the
OSI Implementor's Workshop Security Sig.  We have been
assisting the Network Management Sig, identifying security
objects.

Unfortunately, due to budget and time constraints, 
we have not been able to adequately survey other
network management efforts that are ongoing (e.g.,
DoD, commercial, etc.) and are attempting to address the
following:

    1. Method(s) to identify network objects that are
    related the management of network security.

    2. Individuals or groups (standards organizations
    and commercial efforts) doing work in this
    area (identification of network objects
    related to security) interested in exchanging
    information and ideas.
