i need protocol specifications for CNLP/TP4 on how it carries
Microsoft's NetBios. i believe this is how AT&T implements
LAN Manager on top of ISO protocols.

I believe this is specified in TOP (Technical Office Protocol).
Sorry I can't give references. Maybe someone else can help there.

Yes, AT&T supports (probably among others) TOP NetBIOS, which
is a mappimng of NetBIOS on top of CLNP/TP4.

TOP NetBIOS is included next to the SMB protocols in

X/Open CAE (Common Application Environment) Specification:
Protocols for X/Open PC Interworking: SMB, Version 2
ISBN: 1 872630 45 6
X/Open Document # C209

This book is an excellent description of the SMB and LAN Manager
file- and print-sharing protocols and can be ordered at X/Open
