Is there any existing software which tests an implementation of a communications protocol? Can someone recommend a book or paper on how to design such software? This project involves multivendor equipment which accepts messages from async modem, transmits over radio to receiver with forward error correction, and from there to a receiving computer. Information about how to go about designing tests for the various protocols involved is needed. Please reply by e-mail to huff@mcclb0.med.nyu.edu, I will forward the replies to Mr. Bowman, and summarize if there is interest. -- huff@mcclb0.med.nyu.edu (Robert A. Bowman c/o ejhuff)
