XTP:

I don't know if I should post this in this newsgroup, but I could not find any better. I am interested in XTP over FDDI, and about half a year ago I read something about a XTP chips set, PE-1000. Does anybody knows anything about this ?
PE stands for Protocol Engine, and I heard some rumour about economical problems?

I would appriciate any answers!!
