FTP under VM/CMS ?? (Help needed ...)

Hello!

I hope that someone can give me at least a few
hints to continue.

It seems to be the way that I have some troubles
while FTP'ing *.MODULE 's
or other TEXT 's in binary format. Why?
They change file format and are received in scrambled
order. Then - of course they won't work.
This happens also when I make a self-FTP from my
disk to my own disk.
I already know TYPE {A,B,I,L,E,F...)
and            MODE {B,S}
-usually BINARY V , TYPE S should do it ... !?!?!?

- is there anything left or something special
for transfer of binary foramts to VM/CMS?
Who had this problem and got a solution for it?

Any help, hint appreciated
