Apologies in advance if this is not the right group...

I am trying to locate information on a communications protocol
named SCADA. The exact wording of the fax is "...requirements
of the C2068 SCADA communications protocol...".

I am posting to this group because I believe it to be a protocol
used by chemical companies for data exchange from the field to
the host computer.

Any information would be greatly appreciated; ftp sites with
the protocol definition would be ideal (I failed to find it
on any of the RFC sites).

You're being tripped up by jargon...

I believe you will find the protocol is called "C2068". SCADA is a generic
term in the process control industry. The phrase would be similar to "...the
XMODEM file transfer protocol": you wouldn't look for the "file transfer
protocol", you would look for "XMODEM".

I'm setting the followups to include "comp.realtime", which is where SCADA
people hang out...
