acquired from personal experience.

  The time you spend looking for and buying the equipment, and then
configuring the equipment to build the cross reference table, you could
have already reconfigured the nodes on the network at a considerable
savings of wasted manhours and money for hardware and software that could 
be better spent on other endeavors. .
