Any dial router that supports PPP should work. Candidates are
Telebit's Netblazer, NEC's Dr. Bond, Centrum's remote access server,
and various terminal servers such as ones from Datability, Xyplex, Livingston.
The PC-XRemote package has the advantage of utilizing a proprietary
X-Window packet compression algorithm which squeezes more bandwidth
from the serial line and thus produces higher screen drawing rates.
I don't know which servers it is compatible with. Cisco's comm server
does support PPP and thus does do the dynamic address assignment you
are looking for.
Hope this helps.
