Reading RFC 1331, it repeatedly discusses Async HDLC. I have read the
FAQ and async HDLC doesn't seem to be a featured answer. Would someone
take pity on an upper layers guy suddenly taking new employment and
tell me in simple english what Asychronous HDLC is? I have this guess
that its HDLC encapsulation over ethernet, but that's just a guess.
