RFC-1990 multilink ppp - which packages support this with SunOS 5.x?

Hi,
I'm sure some of you are aware of my need for a PPP package which offers
RFC-1990 multilink support under SunOS 5.x (aka Solaris [2.]x) because there
are no other affordable options for improving my main PPP link's speed
beyond the 26400 bps limit imposed by the type of equipment in the local
telephone exchange. ISDN is the only digital service available, and that's
about $1k per month!
Are there any PPP packages which actually offer RFC-1990 multilink support
at the moment? I'm aware that there is some sort of minimal support for this
under Linux in Paul Mackerras's code, and that the Linux kernel now has
multilink PPP capabilties, but what is there for SunOS/Solaris?
I've been in contact with the people at Sun who are responsible for
development work on Sun's PPP software, and one of these people is also
maintaining the SunOS/Solaris port(s) of Paul's code base, but to date no
PPP software package for SunOS 5.x provides multilink PPP support that I'm
aware of.
Does anyone know of an alternative PPP package which has RFC-1990 multilink
support under SunOS 5.x?
Regards,
Craig.

I can't help you with the PPP stuff, but in Tuesday's Australian there was an ad from Telstra's Big Pond service (on page 10 of the Cutting Edge section) that offered a Motorola cable modem for $49.95 a month (you need to sign up for 18 months). It claims that you save $600 and the offer is good til the end of the year. You get a standard installation and a connection to Big Pond Advance (whatever that is). I'm not sure if you can hook up a CM to a Sun, but I suspect that it won't be a problem. Either call 1800 060 391 or got to http://www.bigpond.net/advance -am

I have a ISDN bill here for a total of $450au, and that's a 128K link that is up and operational 24 hours a day 7 days a week... Yes the bill would be over $1k per month if if we did'nt have the 'price cap' feature... Give your telstra rep a call and ask the right q's and you'll be suprised. -- Stephen Walsh (vk3heg) TCC Computers (Internet Services) http://www.tcc-comp.com.au Ph: +61-3-53334699
