PPP on SCO between different networks

The SCO documentation is a bit thin on how PPP should be set
up...
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can do the following
(on SCO UNIX 3.2.4.1):
I need to set up a UNIX system which is on an ethernet LAN (with
its own IP address), so it can call up a PPP link to another
network, and use a different IP address on the remote network.
Of course I could do this by changing the IP address of the
UNIX system whenever I need to connect to the dial up system,
but this is not very practical, and does not cater for the situation
when you want to use both the ethernet LAN and the PPP links
at the same time.
I guess I need to use the ifconfig and route commands, but there
doesn't seem to be much info in the manuals as to how the above
configuration could be set up.
Thanks for any help!
Please EMAIL replies and I'll post a summary if there's interest.

There's a bug in SCO TCP 1.2 (but not in 1.1.3) that prevents this scenario with SCO's PPP, and with any other PPP or SLIP software you might try to use on your SCO system. You can get the fix from ftp.morningstar.com:pub/tools/SCO-route-fix, or through SCO's normal support channels. -- Bob Sutterfield, Morning Star Technologies +1 614 451 1883 1760 Zollinger Rd, Columbus Ohio USA, 43221 +1 800 558 7827 bob@MorningStar.Com +1 614 459 5054 (FAX)
