I have the same book, I'm about 2/3rds the way through it, and it is
a VERY good book.  IMHO!  I haven't dealt with SNMP before, so I needed
a lot of the detail and history information provided.  It also provides
pointers to other information that would be needed if you were going to
do either very strange things, or something requiring deep detail.

I really liked the "[soap...]"-box comments.  They give you a much better
flavor of why things are the way they are, instead of just sticking you
with "this is the way it is and thou shalt follow the rules!".
