Berkeley Packet Filter for Sun's

I am interested in implementing a filter for controlling the flow
of certain tcpip packets based on source/destination, protocol and
possibly process/user of origin.

I gather from peeking at tcpdump that there is such a thing as the
"Berkeley Packet Filter" mechanism that can be implemented in SunOS 4.1x
if one has a source license which I don't :(

Is there anyone who has done this that could let me have the object
of the appropriately modified modules ?

I am presupposing of course that BPF will be of some use to me, in the
sense that it will allow me to selectively filter packets, rather than
just peek at them !

Thanks ... david

Check out Weitse Venema's tcp/ip wrappers. They are archived on many sites,
but the best place to check for them is cert.org. They work only with tcp
and not with udp.
