Sounds good so far. But where did they get the money, honey? I thought the real scientist is getting his energy supply by sucking a dead donkey ass. Afteall, what are the real scientists are interested in? Maximization of the rate of sucking or THAT WHICH IS in the domain of ALL THERE IS? >> I am a member of a scientific >> research team (funded by the National Science Foundation), Hahahaha. Are they out of active neurons on line? >> That is, we develop >> robots with human appearance, sensory and actuation systems >> that APPROXIMATE humans. Huh? Speaking directly from a dead donkey ass? Approximate humans? Hahahaha. Ok, a little surprise for you and some background as you, royal dudes, may not be aware of the orgasmic experiences in comp.ai.philosophy during the past year. The earth is ALREADY populated with billions of bio-robots, programmed into oblivion to believe there is essentially no difference between a man and a machine. So, economically, your model will not reconcile. Here is a definition. Bio-robot: Biological entity, programmed to behave according to a limited set of instructions, based in morality ["good" and "bad" definitions], created by the priest to manipulate your fear and guilt in order to collect a sin tax. The priest, being totally incapable of producing anything of real value, and, being as cunning, as he is, invented this little trick to make others do the work, and simply enjoy the benefits of their labor by instilling a healthy dose of fear and guilt, which is the best way to control others and make them do virtually anything you want. That is the essense of it. Now, the beauty of this model is that it does not cost society to manufacture those bio-robots, as that is the responsibility of their parents. The parents beget them. The parents bear the cost of training them, just like the dogs and soldiers. You simply cherry pick them once they are appropriately programmed with all the obscenities of the machine grade. Then you make them do virtually anything you want, and once they come to a "useful end of their life cycle", you simply throw them on the street. That is ALL there is to it. Now, in order for this beauty of simplicity model to work, the priest is not enough, as he is ONLY capable of producing the "laws" of morality, "good" and "bad", and that is not enough. Here comes the other dude, aka a politician. He takes the moral "laws" and adopts them to social domain. Now you have "moral foundation" and the "social foundation". But both of these dudes are still COMPLETELY incapable of producing ANYTHING of value beyond the domain of fear and guilt, all in the name of "good". Zo... Here comes the final stroke, completing this holey sucking trinity. The fat cat, aka the businessman, who is the only one, capable of producing ANYTHING of "real" value. Not that he can do it himself, but he has a few active neurons on line and is roothless enough to comprehend the idea that you don't need to work yourself. All you need is to make OTHERS work "for you", and simply collect from them ALL. Afterall, what is the wisdom in the free sucking werld? "You never become rich, working for others". Now the holey sucking trinity is complete. The model is a beauty of simplicity. The goal? Simple. Maximization of the rate of sucking [of the blood of many by the few] Ok. So how can you beat this model with yer royal "research"? Economically, the mechanical robots are way too expensive compared to real bio-robots, widely available on a global scale. Mechanical robots break, need maintenance, deadlock, need a constant improvement and on and on and on. Pretty expensive proposition. The bio-robots are not, and even if they do get sick, it is "their problem" afterall. You simply take it out of their own pocket and provide them with "insurance", feeding yet another parasite. Beauty of a model indeed. Can you beat that? Now, those bio-robots have how many neurons available? And your idiotic pile of wires "approximating" them has the equivalence of how many? At what cost, size, mobility and maintenance expense? For you to "approximate" a single bio-robot, you'd have to create a box of a size of empire sucking building, but then there is a problem. How do you move that thingy? Plenty of other problems. Energy consumption. Reliability. Stability. And on and on and on. Basically, by the time you begin to "approximate" to the level of 1/10000000 of the real bio-robot, you'll be deadlocking every 100 nanoseconds or so. Plus, just to enumerate large enough sets, and perform relatively rudimentary computations on that it'll take you a couple of generations. Things of that nature. Unless, of corse, the level is comparable with the level of obscenity. >Close enough for government work. You bet. Especially if YOU pay for this royal research to outdate yourself. Pretty funken smart indeed. >> We program these robots based on >> current theories of human memory and cognition That are ALL obscene in the most profound ways. >> (i.e., those >> based on empirical research done involving human beings), Well, but that "empirical research" is just a result of the brainwashing into oblivion on the first place. Dig? It all depends on what have you been brainwashed with. For example, many of you take it for granted that coka cola is DA thing to drink and yet, compared with the plain water, what is the "value" of that coke? It is virtually obscene, and yet you don't doubt it for a second, or do you? >> and we then situate the robots in some type of environment, >> and see how they work. Sucking good zo far. >> If they don't work, Would you kindly define "work"? From what standpoint? For what sucky purpose? In WHOSE interest? In what context? Is it maximization of the rate of sucking, by any humble chance? Creating this giant sucking machine? >> or don't work as expected, Aha, as "expected". Well, lets skip it for now. >> we either refine the theory or we test a different >> theory with different architectural or processing assumptions. Different theory? Do you just randomly generate those? Or are you saying that your current theories are no different from regular obscenities? Ok, the solution is obtained by: Plugging in yer favorite theory. If that does not woik, plug in the next one. Is that how it goes? >> Here's my question: Anyone else out there interested in such an >> approach Sure! >No, it's too broad. Could you wait twenty or thirty years for >us practitioners to grow up and our miasmatic fields to merge? No, we need it by yesterday. You just have to change yer concepts of time. That is all. >Each discussant in these tech-Mecca Mecca? Or religion of bio-robots? > groups follows one tiny facet >of The Big Picture. Hopeless, what you propose here, young man. Nothing is "hopeless". Just look at willy da sucking gates. It took coka cola, one of the most respectable global enterprises, to build their "wealth" a couple of hundred years. Now, willy did the same, if not better in how long? About 10 years?
