 On behalf of Mike McCarthy and the LA Area Robotics & Automation Group, I'd
like to invite everyone's participation in the November 1994 Symposium of
the group.  The theme of the symposium is "New Product Ideas in Robotics
and Automation" and we'd like to get significant involvment from local 
industry and all of the universities participating in the LA R&A Group.

 If you would like to attend, please reply back to me.  If you wish to
participate by giving a presentation or demonstration, please contact Mike
McCarthy at the e-mail address or the phone number below.  We would also
welcome any suggestions and recommendations for companies that might 
benefit from participating in the symposium.  The registration
deadline is Friday, November 11, 1994.

 I look forward to seeing many people there, both new and old, who want to
find out what's new in the robotics and automation community in Southern
California.

9:00-11:00      Executive Committee Meeting, White House, Laguna Beach.

  you plan to present either:
        i) a talk or video presentation, or
        ii) a hardware or software demonstration.

  Contact Jim Bobrow (714) 856-4116 (jebobrow@uci.edu) to
    coordinate the equipment support for hardware demonstrations;
  and Frank Park (714) 725-2768 (fpark@uci.edu) to coordinate the computer
    support for software demonstrations.  An SGI Indigo2 XL, PowerMac, 
    486PC's, DEC Alpha, or X-terminals can be made available for 
    these demonstrations.
