HELP!!! Configuring a Backup (?) RSA Server
#402

I have joined a new company which expects me to take on the
administration for the RSA Server. The current server runs on Windows
NT. As they are upgrading all the servers on the network to Windows
2000 they also want to upgrade the current RSA server. They have
attempted to install a new server on Windows 2000 but had problems
with the times on the SecureID tokens as a result the newly built
server has been removed from the network.

My problem is that I have a little experience with the administration
but no experience with the backend and don't how how best to set up
the new server. (I am an MCSE and CCNA so am fairly experienced with
server and router configs).

What is the Primary, Master, Server and Slave? (Documentation
explaining the differences appears hard to come by even on the member
login on the RSA website). What are the agents and What would be the
best setup for load balancing and backup bearing in mind that the new
server will be promoted to the Master (I heard the phrase being
bandied about) and the older server later upgraded to Windows 2000.

There is no firewall in this setup

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
