Think about it !!!) >>bill pociengel >>-- >>llbi locgeenpi " i'm a little confused right now" There;s a company, Secura PC, that makes a hardware/software device. You have a little chip (That can go on your keyring) and you touch it two these two contacts on bootup, it has a unique, 256bit, key that's read serially in 1/20 second, and then, when combined with a password, unlocks your computer. Ah, but youc an boot of a floppy, you say. Not when the program encrypts every sector on your harddrive. However, I've had problems getting it to work, I'm not sure if their encryption scheme is any good (256 bits, come on!) and there's performance degradation (10-15%) on all harddrive reads/writes. I'm going to return it, but am worried they'll rip me off. Such is life (they've also got atrocious support - i've called twice and was given bad advice, and I've left messages, in the middle of the day, and haven't been called back.) -- Jason jyanowitz@hamp.hampshire.edu finger my account to verify this public key! (obviously this isn't a sure- fire verification method, but it's better than nothing). -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- Version: 2.0 mQCNAirCdxIAAAEEAK9cLwZRjzdSsYk/MPYIbT3xmJZ+73IxM8rPaOL5Mrh7Qojk zXcNZr7VtY+b5Za/R1icmspKZDuxhsorejB39vK80hgLpB83Y2XQLxFw2TiV24uU 6URZfNC4so9pmGrH25qG2JtKceZ/vTmUOdc3iKM8B3mihzfS1//7Icoms1zTAAUT tC1KYXNvbiBZYW5vd2l0eiA8anlhbm93aXR6QGhhbXAuaGFtcHNoaXJlLmVkdT4= =k41S -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
