My understanding is that both the CIAC Bulletin and the Sun Security
list announcement were worked on jointly by Sun and DOE CIAC staff and
the result was disseminated separately to both communities of
interest. It is not a case of CIAC claiming credit for Sun's work, nor
of Sun claiming credit for CIAC's. In fact, the Sun bulletin
acknowledges the efforts of a member of the CIAC staff, and
correspondingly this CIAC bulletin cites Ken Pon's work and
assistance.

I receive the CIAC bulletins by e-mail and have begun posting them here
since there seems to be some difficulty in getting them into
comp.security.announce (where they belong). Hopefully this will be
solved in the future.
