Again, as a newcomer to CORBA, I'm wondering as to what is the ideal type of application to use for a CORBA server in Windows OS: a console application, a GUI application, or just a DLL (if possible). From what I understand, the user has to first start my server (unless I get that auto-start daemon thing going), which makes me think DLL's are out of the question. But if the server is going to do nothing except provide services for clients - I don't really need any interface. So, what's the recommended approach? Make a console-app that must remain running in the background? Sorry if this is off-topic for the ACE/TAO newsgroup. I'm so new I'm not sure to which newsgroup this question belongs. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
