Hello,

I am interested in writing XVroutine.
I usually work with 512*512 B/W (8 bits/pixels)images.
I use a Sun4 standard machine (O.S. (4.1.2)) + Khoros(1.0) + Fortran(1.5)
I just have one and only one architecture.
I know very well 'C' language but I am NOT that used to Xwindows
programming.

Under ~/khoros I added my toolbox called "fringe0".

~/khoros
        ~/khoros/src/.....
        ~/khoros/doc/.....
        ~/khoros/fringe0/.....    ---> !!!!! there it is !!!!!!
        ~/khoros/repos/.....
~/.......

Under ~/khoros/fringe0/src/vtst2, I wrote a nice XVroutine "vtst2.*" which
works perfectly (rare, isn't it)!!!

Having a look to Vol II, page 1-31, I have done this :

I just have one and only one architecture( --> NO use of ksrcconf program).

        ~/khoros/fringe0/src/vtst2>make install
        ~/khoros/fringe0/src/vtst2>rehash
        ~/khoros/fringe0/src/vtst2>mv vtst2.1 ~/khoros/fringe0/man/man1

Up to this point, NO psychotic reaction from the system.

PROBLEMS :
========

- within vtst2 subd., ~/khoros/fringe0/src/vtst2>vtst2 -i lena.vif(cr)
  vtst2 works perfectly but when HELP is required,
  the content of vtst2.1 appears with NO special
  character(nroff,troff??? commands ex.: .SH, .TH ...) interpretation.

- If I go to another subdirectory, ex.: #>cd ~/khoros/fringe0, an
  ERROR message appears telling me, that the system do NOT find
  vtst2.form.

Questions :
=========

What is wrong with my installation ???

        - why do NOT I have (nroff,troff??? commands ex.: .SH, .TH ...)
          interpretation ???
        - why the system do NOT find the right path for vtst2.form,
          though this path is correctly mentioned in lvtst2.c
          source file ???
