Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I posted a request for course notes. Many people
responded with "I want a copy of what you get". Well with the exception
of those responses I received nothing. Here is the outline of the course
I am now trying to put notes together for:
==========================================================================
Introduction to Khoros and Cantata Course
Session 1:
UNIX and X-Windows environment
.cshrc or .khoros_env
.Xdefaults
vman
Image creation and display
Data representation and conversion
point, neighborhood and transform operators
Xprism2 and Xprism3
batch processing
Session 2:
building standalone applications
The format is about 2 hours of lecture followed by a hands on practice
session (lecture is in the morning and the practice session may last the
rest of the day).
Prerequisites: a basic understanding of image processing is required
for the first session. People deciding to attend the second session
should be familiar with C programming and be able to use either the vi or
emacs editors.
==========================================================================
The first session I pretty much can handle, but I have yet to try building
a standalone application by linking in library routines. I guess I should
at least try that once before I get in front of a class. This will take
me some time to organize because of all of the other things I need to do
around here.
Help will still be gladly wellcomed.
