How do you do 3-D polar plots?

Does anyone know how to do 3-D polar mesh plots? I'd like something
similar to the 'MESH' command but rather than have the rows and columns
of the matrix representing X and Y ordinates I'd like them to represent
R and Theta.

Any ideas?

Andrew.
